OVO is a company on a mission to create a world with clean, affordable energy for everyone. As part of their strategy to reach Net Zero, they want to inspire and encourage customers by being a real partner in their energy-saving efforts, from helping them spot ways to use less energy to showing them how to choose green tech for their homes.

As a primary sponsor of Grand Designs Live, an event which features the latest in ideas, innovation and home project guidance attended by over 120,000 visitors each year, OVO has a dedicated area — the Green Living Advice Zone — where visitors can have one-to-one consultations with experts about embracing zero-carbon living.

OLD design

This was a perfect opportunity to showcase OVO’s new brand world, recently recharged by Wolff Ollins, in a commercial space where most of the brand’s competitors are not present.

Working closely with sketch artist Lee Ellis and copywriter Ryan Hall, the concept for the rebranded stand centred around the arrival of the OVO square. While the structure had to remain the same as in previous years, the rebranded design’s clean and bold approach ensured OVO’s personality — optimistic, gutsy, straight-talking and inclusive — was confidently conveyed to visitors who came away from the event with a clear view of their own Path to Zero.
